Strawberry Studios, August 1989
Definitely one of my favourite items and many consider this period to be 'peak Mondays', just before they got big with the G-Mex gigs etc. The versions of Clap Your Hands and Hallelujah on here have never been released anywhere so here are snippets:

Hallelujah snippet
This unreleased song titled Asshole was recorded in the same sessions as Hallelujah and Clap Your Hands, so presumably considered for the Madchester Rave On E.P. Apart from that info this tune is a complete mystery and I had never even heard it mentioned anywhere when I got this tape and still haven't. This is the definition of a hidden or forgotten gem and the song has a total run time of approx 6:10mins.

Yeah such a shame it never saw the light of day on any releases ever. I can only presume it was meant for the Madchester Rave On E.P. but they decided against it for some reason. I have tried to find out more info about it over the years as I knew Horse but even he couldn't shed any light on the song. Someone out there must have some knowledge about it so if anyone reads this that does then please reply and let us all know lol cheers for your comment ashley, hope you are enjoying the site?
Asshole sounds like it would've been one of their most interesting songs had it been released.
