London Camden Dingwalls 20th July 1987
Heres a treat for you and one of my favourite early recordings of the Mondays playing live at one of the Panic Station nights at Camden Dingwalls. Amazing footage. The band were so raw and funky at this time of their career, totally ground breaking.
Set list: Movin in With, Kuff Dam, Russell, Yahoo, Desmond, Little Matchstick Owen, Tart Tart, 24 Hour Party People, Freaky Dancin'

Review of the gig below from the Melody Maker on August 1st 1987 kindly provided by Scott Holland:

Right, cheers bud...makes sense now.
On Your Own is from the Spirit Studios sessions mate and is actually called Comfort & Joy and they did play it a few times live in the early years. Details for these sessions can be found on the 1985 page pal along with a couple of other unheard songs called You And I Differ and Anyone With A Battle. I will put the whole tape on over time so fans can here it all.
Brilliant mate...I'll keep an eye/ear out for more rare Monday material for you. I posted a rare Mondays song called On Your Own up on Youtube some years back. From my tape that i'd recorded from Tony The Greek on Piccadilly Radio in the late 80s. I don't know if they recorded any more songs on that session.
I dont mind at all pal, I will put the full Bristol gig on here at some point as well so feel free to put that on your YouTube too, no problem at all.
The site only went live about 2 weeks ago, I thought the Mondays deserved a proper archive online as they have never had one at all, Also, the site itsnt finished, there are still a lot bit and bobs to add and a lot of articles so hopefully you can keep visiting and enjoying the content pal.
Nice One, T
Been looking for this kind of material for years. I didn't know it existed! Love early Mondays, mate. I've nicked the Tart Tart Bristol vid and uploaded it to my YouTube channel. Hope you don't mind. I'll remove it if you want, but I've linked this site for people. Good luck, mate... I'll keep sending people here.
